AURIDEI is a free app for exploring live internet radio from around the world on a photorealistic 3D globe. Spin the globe, zoom into a country or city, and tap a station to start listening. It works in any modern web browser at auridei.com and as an Android app on Google Play.
Yes. Listening is free and doesn't require an account. AURIDEI may show a small number of ads to help cover running costs.
No. You can listen without signing in. Creating a free account (email or Google) lets you sync favorites, saved songs and your listening history across your devices.
Up to 15,000 live stations from almost every country and territory, drawn from Radio-Browser, a free community-maintained directory of internet radio.
Stations are run independently and sometimes go offline, change their stream address, or restrict listening to their own country. AURIDEI detects dead streams and tells you; the next arrow takes you to another station. Your favorites are never skipped automatically.
Open the Map key to see the full legend. In short: gold dots are the ten most-listened stations worldwide, lavender dots are the top stations in a country or genre, orange dots are your top favorites, and white dots mark stations whose exact location isn't known and has been placed approximately inside their country.
Station locations come from the community directory, and some are missing or incorrect. When a station has no location, or its listed location falls outside its own country, AURIDEI places it inside the correct country and marks it as approximate.
No. AURIDEI is a directory: your device connects straight to each station's own stream. No audio passes through or is stored on AURIDEI's servers.
Many stations broadcast the name of the song that's playing. When they do, AURIDEI shows it and lets you save it to your list, with a quick link to look it up on YouTube.
Travel mode plays drone footage of the country of the station you're listening to, looping several clips from that country. The window can be dragged anywhere on the screen or minimized.
Yes, in the Android app. Playback continues with the screen locked or while you use other apps, with controls on the lock screen. Tap the X on the player to stop the radio and close the app.
AURIDEI also lets you explore other worlds built from real mission data. Venus, for example, is built from NASA's Magellan radar data via USGS Astrogeology, showing terrain beneath its permanent clouds.
Tap the microphone and say something like "play jazz" or "play music from Japan." In the Android app you'll be asked once to allow the microphone; AURIDEI only listens while the mic button is lit.
Signed-in users can delete their account from the account panel. You can also use the Delete Your Data page or email contact@auridei.com.
